The Rays may choose to be cautious and send him back to Triple-A. "Without getting too far in front, he's going to get a couple times through the rotation," Rays manager Kevin Cash told reporters (via ESPN.com) Friday when McKay's promotion was announced.He has made the minor leagues look easy this season, posting a 1.22 ERA and 0.80 WHIP in 66 2/3 innings over two levels. A two-way player in the mold of Shohei Ohtani, McKay hasn't had the same success hitting (.205/.313/.331 slash line in 2019), but Cash told reporters he will get some major league at-bats in the coming days.
